UIP Businesses

There are multiple distribution, manufacturing and processing tenants located within UIP, which include the following:

  • McLane Pacific: McLane Pacific Company Inc., employs over 500 team members and is a $44 billion supply chain services leader, providing grocery and food service solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants throughout the United States.
  • Sensient: Employs over 300 people throughout their company and processes and distributes dehydrated spices and vegetables and specialty items including parsley, chili, onions and garlic.
  • Wellmade: Employs over 90 people and has over 50 years of experience in the design and manufacture of lighting, wheelbarrows and sheet metal products.
  • Central Valley Processing: Employs over 50 people and operates an almond processing facility processing over 30 million pounds of almonds annually.

  • Universal Service Recycling Inc.: Has approximately 60 employees and is the largest privately held metal recycler serving California's Central Valley. The Merced location serves San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Sacramento, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, Madera and East Alameda Counties.
  • Proposed Walmart Distribution Center: Walmart plans to build a 1.2 million square-foot distribution center between Childs Avenue and Gerard Avenue within UIP. The site is on approximately 225 acres zoned for industrial use near the newly constructed Mission Interchange. It is estimated that the distribution center will create up to 1,200 full time positions.
